The keto diet has become quite popular among celebrities. A ketogenic diet, also known as a keto diet, is based on the principal that people can be lean by upping the fat and cutting the carbs, thereby pushing the body into ketosis. This state supposedly burns up fat, relieves allergy symptoms, and helps with chronic pain. The downside to the diet, though, is it may be hard to sustain for some, as it requires cutting out products such as bread, potatoes, and certain baked goods. Cutting out too many carbs can also have side-effects such as fatigue. At the end of the day, calorie counting may be the right way to go versus a ketogenic diet.
