The caffeine helps improve blood glucose. Caffeine consumption seems to benefit women in particular with diabetes. Caffeine consumption does not seem to benefit diabetic men. Drinking 200 miligrams of caffeine daily decreased the risk of death in diabetic women by 66%. Tea in particular has been found to decrease the death risk by 80% of women wo had cancer.
