According to a study conducted by the Universities of Houston and Pittsburgh, people who followed a Paleo-type diet for eight weeks experienced improvement in heart health and weight loss. The diet focuses on consumption of meats, fish, vegetables, fruits and nuts. Grains, rice, refined sugars, dairy, and processed foods are not allowed.
